ALTO Steps come in two different qualities. Our Tibetan Steps are hand knotted in Nepal, and made from the finest Himalayan wool. Our Tufted Steps are made in India from pure New Zealand wool. They are available in several color sets, each with solids and patterns. Designed to be compatible in any combination, they can be arranged in any sequence to create a unique transition from one floor to the next. Because each step is a uniquely handmade piece, slight variations in color and size should be expected. Landing pieces are available for custom orders. Irregular shaped pieces will be considered based on their suitability to the hand-knotting process. The ALTO Black Sheep collection, which include Skipping Stones and Winks, are hand tufted with undyed natural wool tones. The wool is spun at a high twist and blended to achieve a range of grays, browns, blacks and whites. click on the ALTO colorways at right for more information. |
