Alto Steps are a fun, attractive and modular solution for your stairs. They prevent slipping, soften the noise, show off the woodwork, and can be arranged in any sequence.

Our standard Alto Steps which are roughly 9x26 inches, come in two different qualities. Our standard Tibetan Steps are hand knotted in Nepal, and made from the finest Himalayan wool. Our Hand Tufted Steps are made in India with New Zealand wool. We also offer standard Alto steps in natural Hemp.

Alto Steps are available in sets of 12 or individually. Most sets include solids and patterns. Designed to be compatible in every possible combination, they can be arranged to create a unique transition from one floor to the next.

Custom colors and shaped pieces such as winders, and L-shaped landings may be ordered, provided shapes and designs are suitable for the hand knotting or hand tufting process. Silk, nettle, hemp, and other natural fibres can also be specified.
